Company Background
The main facility is located at Parafield Airport South Australia. This facility is approximately 1200 m2 in size and accommodates all required specialist equipment for the propeller maintenance processes. It also has 2 satellite workshops situated at Moorabbin Airport VIC and Emkaytee Airfield, Noonamah Northern Territory (40km south of Darwin).
The staff at Southern Propeller Services are qualified and very experienced in the maintenance of aircraft propellers and the processes involved. Staff attend regular factory training at all the major propeller manufacturers. Maintenance capability covers fixed pitch propellers up to turbine full feathering reversing propellers.
Southern Propeller Services also provides Non-Destructive Testing Services including Magnetic Particle Inspection, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection and Eddy Current Inspection methods.
We are an Authorized Service Facility for both McCauley propellers in the USA and MT Propeller in Germany.
Southern Propellers holds the CASA Part 145 Approval.
